At Indigenous Youth Services (IYS), we recognize that parenting can be both a beautiful journey and an ongoing challenge, especially when navigating systems that often feel complex or unwelcoming. Our Free Parent Consulting Program was created to ensure that families never have to face these challenges alone.
Through one-on-one virtual consultations, our team of Indigenous and allied professionals provides personalized guidance, cultural understanding, and practical support to help parents and caregivers identify their needs, locate appropriate resources, and access available funding. Every session is free, confidential, and grounded in respect for each family’s culture, story, and goals.
Indigenous Youth Services was founded with a single belief: that families thrive when they are supported with compassion, connection, and culturally safe guidance. Too often, parents are left to navigate behavioral, emotional, and systemic challenges without a clear roadmap. Our purpose is to change that by offering a service that listens deeply, honors lived experience, and empowers families to find pathways that truly work for them.
Our consultants are trained to recognize the unique strengths and challenges that Indigenous families may face. Whether you are seeking emotional, behavioral, or mental health support for your child, help understanding school systems, or guidance in accessing financial resources, our team will help you every step of the way.
The Free Parent Consulting Program is available to Indigenous parents, guardians, and caregivers across Canada and the United States. Our services are open to anyone who wishes to strengthen their family’s foundation, improve access to supports, or gain a better understanding of available resources.
We often assist families who are navigating:
Every family is welcome, regardless of their location, circumstances, or financial situation.

At Indigenous Youth Services, our approach is rooted in Indigenous values of respect, relationship, and reciprocity. We believe that healing and growth occur through understanding, connection, and balance.
Our consultants approach every interaction with empathy, cultural safety, and the belief that each family carries its own wisdom. By blending traditional principles with contemporary behavioral and therapeutic strategies, we create holistic solutions that reflect the whole person and the whole family.
We honor the diversity of Indigenous Nations and strive to ensure that every recommendation aligns with each family’s unique cultural identity, community connection, and personal goals.
