A.I.Ming for Success: Virtual Program

Unlock Potential, Understand Behavior, and Foster Lasting Success

Indigenous Youth Services is proud to present A.I.Ming for Success, a comprehensive virtual program designed to equip parents, caregivers, educators, and youth professionals with advanced, evidence-based strategies for understanding and guiding youth behavior.

This program is built on the A.I.M Model of Behavioral Analysis, a groundbreaking framework developed by Christian R. Brown, a leading expert in behavioral science and the author of the Amazon Best Seller Decoding Behavior. The A.I.M Model represents a transformative approach to behavioral understanding—one that looks beyond the surface of actions to uncover the deeper cognitive, emotional, and environmental factors that drive them.

At its core, A.I.M stands for Action, Intention, and Motivation, three interdependent elements that form the foundation of every behavioral expression. By exploring what a youth does, why they do it, and the motivations influencing their actions, participants gain powerful insight into the mechanics of behavior. This process shifts the focus from reaction to reflection, allowing caregivers and professionals to approach challenges with clarity, compassion, and precision.

Developed through years of applied practice and research, the A.I.M Model merges scientific evidence with real-world application. It equips participants with a structured process for decoding behavior, identifying intervention points, and implementing strategies that are both effective and empathetic. Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with this youth?” the A.I.M framework invites a deeper, more constructive question: “What is this behavior communicating, and how can we support what is needed?”

Understanding to intervention

Once participants develop a thorough understanding of behavior through the A.I.M Model, the program transitions from insight to implementation through the Three S’s of Successful Interventions: Stabilize, Scaffold, and Supersede. This evidence-based progression provides a clear path for transforming understanding into measurable, lasting change.

Stabilize forms the foundation of the intervention process. Participants learn how to establish environments that foster safety, consistency, and predictability—key conditions for reducing stress and building emotional security. By stabilizing both the environment and the relationship, caregivers and professionals create the trust necessary for meaningful progress.

Scaffold builds upon that foundation by providing structured guidance that strengthens skill development, confidence, and independence. Participants explore how to gradually adjust support levels to meet individual needs, ensuring that youth are both challenged and supported as they grow.

Supersede represents the culmination of the process, focusing on replacing harmful or maladaptive behaviors with positive, adaptive alternatives. Participants gain tools for reinforcing progress, promoting self-regulation, and embedding sustainable behavioral patterns that persist beyond the intervention period.

By integrating the analytical depth of the A.I.M Model with the structured progression of the Three S’s, A.I.Ming for Success provides a complete framework for behavioral transformation. It not only helps participants understand behavior but also equips them to respond with intention, empathy, and effectiveness.
