Through six interconnected principles, participants explore human-centered care, cultural understanding, emotional awareness, behavioral analysis, structured intervention, and long-term personal development.
This fully virtual, self-paced program combines foundational knowledge with practical applications to help professionals, caregivers, and organizational leaders move beyond reactive behavioral management and create environments that prioritize dignity, individualized support, meaningful relationships, and lasting growth.
True cultural care begins with understanding. An Introduction to Indigenous Care is a comprehensive, 6-hour micro-certification designed to equip professionals, caregivers, and community workers with the knowledge, awareness, and practical skills needed to provide respectful, culturally responsive support to Indigenous individuals, families, and communities.
Grounded in cultural humility and an understanding of Indigenous histories, identities, and lived experiences, this course explores how historical and contemporary systems have shaped Indigenous communities and continue to influence their experiences with healthcare, child welfare, education, and social services. Participants will develop a deeper appreciation of cultural identity, family connections, community relationships, and the importance of Indigenous self-determination in delivering meaningful support.
Too often, care systems operate without fully understanding the people they are intended to serve. Standardized approaches can overlook cultural differences, perpetuate historical harms, and disconnect individuals from the families, traditions, and communities that contribute to their identity and well-being. This course challenges participants to look beyond generalized cultural awareness and recognize that effective Indigenous care requires understanding the individual, respecting the community, and recognizing the cultural and historical context in which care is delivered.
Through practical examples, guided reflection, and actionable strategies, participants will learn to recognize cultural barriers, challenge assumptions, strengthen relationships, and integrate culturally informed practices into their everyday work. The training emphasizes that Indigenous communities are diverse, with distinct histories, languages, traditions, and approaches to well-being. Meaningful cultural care requires listening, collaboration, and respect rather than assuming that one approach can meet the needs of every community.
Whether you support Indigenous youth, work alongside families, deliver frontline services, or lead community-based programs, An Introduction to Indigenous Care provides a foundation for moving beyond cultural awareness toward meaningful, understanding-driven practice.
Because culturally responsive care isn't simply about knowing someone's culture. It's about understanding how to respect, protect, and strengthen their connection to it.

What if the missing piece in behavioral intervention isn't knowing how to respond, but understanding why the behavior is occurring?
Traditional behavioral interventions frequently focus on managing observable actions without adequately understanding the factors driving them. While these approaches may produce immediate improvements, meaningful and sustainable change requires a deeper understanding of the individual.
A.I.M for SucceSS combines two complementary frameworks: the A.I.M. Model of Behavioral Analysis and Intervention and the Three S's of Successful Intervention.
Through the A.I.M. Model, participants learn to examine observable actions, investigate their potential intentions, and identify the underlying motivations that influence behavioral responses. This process helps professionals move beyond assumptions and develop a more individualized understanding of complex behavioral challenges.
The Three S's provide a structured pathway for turning that understanding into practical intervention.
Stabilize focuses on establishing immediate safety and creating the conditions necessary for meaningful support. Scaffold introduces individualized strategies, external supports, and skill-building opportunities that encourage positive development. Supersede focuses on fostering internal understanding, intrinsic motivation, and the capacity for sustainable change.
Together, these frameworks provide participants with an integrated approach to understanding behavior, developing individualized interventions, and supporting meaningful progress beyond immediate crisis management.
Through practical examples, case studies, and applied learning activities, participants develop skills they can use across family, educational, mental health, residential, and community care environments.
Move beyond managing behavior. Understand what drives it, intervene with purpose, and build the foundations for lasting success..
What happens when the systems designed to support vulnerable individuals become more focused on managing their behavior than understanding their needs?
The H.U.M.A.N.S Care Model introduces a different approach to care, one that places human dignity, individual identity, cultural understanding, and meaningful relationships at the center of every intervention.
This comprehensive six-hour virtual training program equips professionals, caregivers, and organizational leaders with a practical framework for transforming how care is understood, delivered, and sustained. Developed to address persistent challenges within residential care, child welfare, and mental health services, the model challenges traditional approaches that prioritize containment, compliance, and crisis management over individualized understanding and long-term growth.
By integrating behavioral analysis, trauma-informed practice, cultural responsiveness, and structured intervention, participants learn to create care environments that recognize the individual behind the behavior, address underlying needs, and build meaningful pathways toward lasting stability and independence.
Because effective care should do more than manage immediate challenges. It should create the conditions for individuals to grow, thrive, and ultimately surpass unnecessary dependence on external support.

The H.U.M.A.N.S Care Model brings together six interconnected principles designed to transform how care is understood, delivered, and sustained. Moving beyond traditional approaches focused on behavioral management and crisis response, the model provides professionals and caregivers with a comprehensive framework for understanding each individual's experiences, recognizing their unique needs, and developing personalized interventions that foster meaningful, lasting change.
Each principle builds upon the next, creating a structured pathway from establishing humanized care and understanding personal and cultural identity to uncovering emotional and behavioral influences, implementing effective interventions, and ultimately supporting long-term independence and personal growth.
