Transform the Future of Child Welfare

Three S’s of Successful Intervention

For too long, the child welfare system has been a revolving door of broken promises. Youth are placed into care, housed, and contained, but they are rarely empowered. The interventions they receive often act as temporary solutions; once staff or incentive programs disappear, so do the so-called results. These fleeting outcomes have plagued the system for decades, contributing to a devastating reality: too many youth age out of care only to face homelessness, incarceration, or even death. We should not have to know dead kids. It is time to rewrite this story.

The Three S’s of Intervention Micro-Certification is more than just another training program. This six-hour, human-centered course is a call to action for professionals, caregivers, and support workers. It provides the practical tools and strategies needed to break cycles of dependency and create lasting transformation. Youth in care do not merely need containment; they deserve empowerment, opportunity, and true liberation.

Long-Term Outcomes

The Three S’s of Intervention were meticulously designed to tackle the systemic failures that lead to these devastating outcomes. This program was born from a fierce determination to stop the cycle of youth aging out of care into despair. Unlike traditional approaches that rely on “intervention presence results”, temporary fixes that vanish when staff or incentives do, the S.S.S. Model focuses on sustainable, transformative change.

What are the Three S's?

Stabilize: Crisis moments are inevitable, but they do not have to define a youth’s future. Using evidence-based stabilization techniques, you will learn to de-escalate high-stakes situations quickly and safely. This phase is not just about calming the immediate storm; it is about creating a secure foundation for deeper healing and growth. By addressing urgent needs, we stop the downward spiral and open the door to real, lasting progress.

Scaffold: True change does not happen overnight. It is built step by deliberate step. Scaffolding provides structured, adaptable support that meets youth where they are and guides them toward where they need to be. You will master skill-based progression models that foster resilience, confidence, and practical life skills. This phase moves beyond simply managing behavior and empowers youth with the tools to succeed, gradually reducing their reliance on external systems.

Supersede: The ultimate goal is independence, a future where youth no longer need constant intervention. By identifying and addressing the root causes of behavioral challenges, you will help them replace maladaptive patterns with self-sufficiency and strength. This is the point where the cycle of dependency is broken, ensuring that when youth leave care, they are not just surviving, they are thriving.

The S.S.S. Model directly addresses the unacceptable long-term outcomes of traditional care by rejecting temporary compliance. Conventional interventions often fail because they treat only the symptoms and not the underlying causes, leaving youth vulnerable when support disappears. This model flips this approach, prioritizing deep, lasting impact over superficial fixes. It equips youth with the internal resources to navigate life beyond the system, reducing the risk of homelessness, incarceration, and premature death.

What You’ll Experience: A Journey of Impact

This 6-hour training is immersive, interactive, and unapologetically practical. Through compartmentalized learning modules, real-world assignments, quizzes, and collaborative discussion groups, you’ll not only grasp the theory but live it. Here’s what you’ll gain:

Stabilization Strategies: Defuse crises with precision, creating a foundation of trust and safety.

Scaffolding for Success: Build adaptable support systems that foster skill development and reduce dependency.

Superseding Support Needs: Tackle root causes, paving the way for independence.

This isn’t just about skills, it’s about heart. You’ll connect with a community of passionate changemakers, all united by a shared mission: to transform the child welfare system. Together, you’ll challenge the status quo, share insights, and ignite a movement.
