At Indigenous Youth Services, we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering space where youth can grow, connect, and thrive. Our Virtual Center offer a wide range of supports rooted in culture, community, and care.


All of our programs are delivered completely online, allowing youth to participate at their own pace, from anywhere. With personalized guidance, culturally responsive content, and interactive modules, we help young people develop critical life skills, explore their identity, and build confidence for the road ahead.

Virtual Programs

Our Pathway to Independence Program empowers youth with the essential life skills needed for a confident transition into adulthood. Through engaging, interactive online modules, participants build self-sufficiency in key areas like financial literacy, emotional regulation, goal setting, and positive psychology. Designed to foster resilience and real-world readiness, this program equips young people to thrive independently—with clarity, purpose, and strength.

Our Financial Literacy Program equips youth with the practical tools to manage money confidently and responsibly. Through a customized six-hour online course, participants learn key skills in budgeting, saving, credit, investing, and smart financial decision-making—laying the foundation for long-term independence and stability.

Pathway to Independence Program

Youth Empowerment

     At Indigenous Youth Services, our Pathway to Independence Program equips young individuals with the critical life skills necessary for a smooth transition to independence and successful adulthood. This comprehensive program focuses on fostering self-sufficiency through in-depth training in essential areas such as Financial Literacy, Positive Psychology, Emotional Regulation, and Goal Setting. Delivered through an engaging and interactive online platform, this program is designed to provide youth with the tools they need to navigate the challenges of adulthood with confidence and resilience. 


Program Components


Financial Literacy: This module empowers youth with the knowledge and skills to manage their finances effectively. Participants will learn about budgeting, saving, investing, and responsible credit use, laying a strong foundation for financial independence. The training includes real-world scenarios and practical exercises to ensure youth can apply these skills in their daily lives.


Positive Psychology: Grounded in the science of well-being, this component helps youth develop a positive mindset and resilience. Participants will explore strategies for cultivating optimism, gratitude, and emotional well-being, all of which are essential for maintaining a healthy, balanced life. The module encourages youth to build on their strengths and fosters a proactive approach to personal growth.


Emotional Regulation: Understanding and managing emotions is a key life skill. This training teaches youth how to recognize and regulate their emotions, reduce stress, and cope with challenges constructively. The module includes techniques for mindfulness, self-awareness, and effective communication, enabling youth to build strong interpersonal relationships and navigate complex social situations.


Goal Setting: This component focuses on helping youth set realistic, achievable goals and develop the strategies to reach them. Participants will learn how to create actionable plans, stay motivated, and track their progress. The goal-setting module is designed to instill a sense of purpose and direction, guiding youth toward fulfilling their personal and professional aspirations.

Our Youth Empowerment Program is delivered through a dynamic online platform that combines interactive learning with professional support and peer group engagement. The platform offers:

  • Interactive Learning Modules: These modules guide participants through each topic step-by-step, using multimedia content, quizzes, and assignments to reinforce learning. The platform allows youth to progress at their own pace, ensuring a personalized learning experience.
  • Professional Support: Youth are connected with experienced mentors and professionals who provide guidance, answer questions, and offer support throughout the program. This one-on-one interaction ensures that participants receive the help they need to overcome challenges and stay on track.
  • Peer Group Connections: The program fosters a sense of community by connecting youth with peer groups where they can share experiences, offer support, and learn from one another. These groups create a supportive network that aids in the transition from care to independent living.

  • Certification of Completion: Upon successful completion of the program, youth will receive a Certification of Completion recognizing their achievement and readiness for independence. This certification can also serve as a valuable credential when seeking employment or further education.
  • Ongoing Access to Resources: Graduates of the program will continue to have access to the online platform and its resources, allowing them to revisit modules, seek advice, and stay connected with their mentors and peers as they transition to adulthood.


  • Alumni Network: Graduates will be invited to join our alumni network, providing ongoing opportunities for professional development, networking, and collaboration with other program participants.

Financial Literacy

Building Skills for Success

   At Indigenous Youth Services, our Financial Literacy Program is meticulously designed to equip young individuals with essential financial skills for a successful independent life. This six-hour, customized program is tailored to fit the specific needs and financial goals of each participant.


Program Overview:

Upon enrollment, participants will complete a brief questionnaire to provide information on their age, current financial literacy level, and future financial objectives. This data helps us customize the curriculum to be most effective for each individual.


Program Components:


  • Budgeting and Saving: Techniques on how to efficiently manage budgets, set savings goals, and prioritize financial planning.
  • Investing Basics: An introduction to fundamental investment principles, aimed at demystifying investments and encouraging smart, early investment habits.
  • Credit Management: Insights into building and maintaining good credit, using credit responsibly, and avoiding common financial pitfalls.
  • Financial Decision Making: Skills for making informed financial decisions that have a long-term positive impact on one’s financial health.

Interactive Online Learning Experience

The course is delivered through a dynamic online platform that features educational videos, practical exercises, and quizzes to foster an engaging and comprehensive learning experience. This allows participants to learn at their own pace and apply their new knowledge in practical settings.
