I am Christian R. Brown, an Indigenous man shaped by the relentless suffering of our people. My family bears the jagged scars of residential schools—a vicious machine bent on our erasure. That same cruel shadow hunts us now, lurking in group homes bloated with greed, ignorance, and brutality. Our youth are prey—their spirits broken, caged for profit, then cast aside when the funds run dry. I founded Indigenous Youth Services to wage war on these soul-searing injustices. My mission pulses in my veins: to end the theft of our children from their families, communities, and cultures. This is no soft cry—it’s a roar for our survival, our identity, our kids. And I need you in this fight.
The Wounds We Bear, The Destiny We’ll Shape
Our pain isn’t history—it’s now. Communities bleed as parents shatter, watching their children bartered for cash, discarded when the group-home racket squeezes them dry. I’ve held their grief, bellowed at their betrayal, felt their muted despair carve deeper than steel. Yet I’ve also seen the fire blaze when a child reclaims their roots, the unbreakable strength of a family standing tall, the electric hope when we rise united. That’s why I built Indigenous Youth Services—not just to mend wounds, but to revolutionize care with you. Through the H.U.M.A.N.S Care Model—humanized, understanding-driven, results-focused—we’ll dismantle the profit-driven machine, shatter the cycles of homelessness and prison, and prove we can rise—fiercer, together.
Stand With Us
This is our war, our moment. Our youth, our heritage, our tomorrow hang in the balance. Join me. Let’s forge a world where Indigenous children don’t just endure—they thrive.
These traditional group home models aren’t saviors—they’re leeches, feasting on our pain. They’re beasts fueled by profit, not protection—snatching our youth on flimsy excuses, twisting their struggles into crimes, and stretching their time in care to fatten wallets. I’ve seen the ignorance that sneers at our traditions, the injustices that mark our families as prey, the greed that jacks up rates for our kids’ “Indigenous status,” bleeding them dry before dumping them at 18 with nothing but shattered spirits. The toll is a gut-wrenching truth: Indigenous youth, who are just 5% of the population, make up 50% of those in care—yet over 30% of Indigenous foster youth face homelessness within a year of aging out, nearly 90% of Indigenous youth exiting care have interacted with the justice system by age 25. This is the wreckage of models that turn our children into profit regardless of progress. I founded Indigenous Youth Services to tear those models down and build something worthy of our people.
We’re forging a new path with the H.U.M.A.N.S Care Model —a blazing framework that delivers humanized approaches, understanding-driven support, and results-focused solutions to an industry that’s traded its heart for a ledger.
How We Partner: Strengthening Care Together
We’re ready to work alongside you, transforming care with practical, proven steps:
Early Interventions: We act fast, before crises spiral. When families face poverty, trauma, or neglect, we bring culturally grounded support that keeps our youth with their people—reducing removals and easing the strain on group homes.
Virtual Care Support Programs: Distance shouldn’t mean disconnection. Our virtual programs deliver real-time counseling, connection, and strength to youth and families everywhere, lightening the load on overtaxed systems while keeping kids rooted.
Youth Courses: Our kids deserve more than containment—they’re our future. We teach them their languages, their stories, their strength, through courses that rebuild what’s been lost, preparing them for life beyond care, not just the streets.
With the H.U.M.A.N.S Care Model, we’re rewriting the playbook—humanizing models that have lost their way, meeting youth with understanding instead of judgment, and driving results that cut costs, reduce recidivism, and rebuild lives. This is a partnership that works.
Join Us: Let’s Build a Better Way
This is my call—the vision I sparked when I founded Indigenous Youth Services—and it’s yours too. I’m reaching out to every agency, every leader, every heart committed to real change. Partner with me. Bring your expertise to the table. Invest in a model that saves lives and dollars. Share this mission with your teams. Together, we can keep our 50% where they belong—with their families, not in traditional group home models that profit off their pain.
Our Dream: A Future We Create Together
I dream of a day when no Indigenous child is taken for a paycheck—a day when our youth thrive with their families, their cultures, their futures secured, not sold. I founded Indigenous Youth Services to make that dream real, one youth at a time, one partnership at a time, one victory at a time. With the H.U.M.A.N.S Care Model as our guide, I pledge to my ancestors, our kids, and you: our youth will rise, unshackled from models that profit off their souls, rooted in who we are—and we’ll do it side by side.
